But where are the best places for New Year’s Eve? We had a look at the celebrations happening around Europe and the UK to bring you the top places for celebrating NYE and kickstarting 2019!

10. Haparanda Tornio, Sweden and Finland

Care to celebrate New Year’s Eve twice? The border cities of Haparanda in Sweden and Tornio in Finland are separated by the river Torne and are actually located in different time zones so dual celebrations on New Year’s Eve are the norm. Most revelers celebrate in Tornio then hop across the river to Haparanda where live music, a fireworks show, hot drinks, and food keeps the party going.
